Description hubisan 2011-02-20 19:59:01 UTC
Version: 1.8.0 (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS: Linux

After updating under PCLinuxOS to version 1.8.0 digikam seems alright in the main window, but when starting the Editor (showfoto), most of the functions are unavailable to work with. It seems that the editor-specific scroll down menus can't be opened, expect for the "transform" funtions.

Reproducible: Always

Without the editor, my usual foto-workflow is more or less obsolete,
digikam is getting almost useless, a pity!

Tried it under several desktops (KDE, LXDE, Openbox) same result exery time.
Unfortunately it seems to me that there is no way to rollback to 1.7.0.

In Synaptic the "forced version" function is not available to me...

Which functions are missing in editor ?

Sound like a bad installion. Typically all editor feature are plugins. Sound like plugins cannot be found.

It's probably a broken install or package.
