Description AE 2011-02-20 16:23:07 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

When I suspend my laptop (ACPI S3, suspend to RAM) and wake it up, battery fill status is always 100%. Power consumption after that will be displayed according to the 'new' full state, making low power warnings come up late. This can lead to data loss if an emergency suspend due to low power is initiated too late.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use laptop
2. Suspend laptop
3. Wake up laptop
4. Use laptop

I cannot reproduce this at all. I suspect that this is a fairly specific issue
between your battery, your laptop bios, your distribution and Solid. What is
the output of the acpi command?

Thijs is right. You should first of all check ACPI, and if upower is installed and running.

With kde version 4.7.90, the issue seems to be gone and the battery monitor works as expected after wakeup.

Closing correctly.
