Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5) OS: Linux I'd like the focus to follow the mouse between terminal window and other parts of dolphin. Now you have to click in the terminal (started by F4 in Dolphin) to get focus to move. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 0. Have focus-follows-mouse enabled in KDE. 1. Start dolphin. 2. Press F4. 3. Move mouse between terminal in dolphin window and other parts of dolphin window (or other windows). Actual Results: Focus within dolphin window is only moved when clicking in either terminal or file part of window. Expected Results: Focus should move when moving the mouse over different parts of the window. It would be great with this feature!
I think this report and #258719 share similar cause: the policy of focus-follows-mouse or focus-under-mouse is applied at window-level only, not at widget-level. I do not think these two reports can be solved by dolphin or konsole. Maybe assign it to kwin developers ?

Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
The described behavior still exists. It's an annoyance to have to click the Dolphin terminal window to get focus (or click the scroll wheel) when navigating through the application. Note: When first opened the terminal has focus; once focus moves to another panel the terminal needs to be clicked or scroll wheel moved when re-entered.
