"Reproducible: Didn't try"

sorry, I actually tried several times - even UN-installed K3B, reinstalled K3b and tried again. Same deal every single time. The previous version of K3B worked just fine with my multisession disk burning.

I need this to work

Received this error repeatedly while trying to blank a CD-RW. The 'Quick' format option generated the same error. In the past, I've always been able to reboot into Windows and blank the rejected disc using Nero, so I expect the same will be true with this time. I received the same error in Ubuntu 10.04, so I was hoping to see this work in a clean install of Ubuntu 11.04, but no joy. This error was received after using K3bsetup to change the system permissions to K3b's recommended values.

I haven't tried using the LITE-ON DVDRW for this operation. I've had past problems with DVD burners munging these old 4x CD-RW discs, so I always use my HP CD-Writer+ 9100 to write to them.

Here is the debug log:

Wanted to follow-up that in this instance the HP CD-Writer+ 9100 using Nero in Windows also returned an "unknown error". Having nothing to lose, I attempted blanking it using K3b, Ubuntu AMD64 11.04, and my LITE-ON DVDRW and was successful. Maybe my venerable HP CD-Writer+ 9100 is starting to die, but it was the drive that burned the image to the disc in question just a few days before and had not been used for anything else in the interim.

It is still a problem. Retested using current Ubuntu 18.04 kernel. Brasero had no problem blanking and burning the ISO using the same drive.
