Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux Kmail crashes when it checks mail ... the check mail button is unresponsive and causes it too crash frequently causing the bug report to pop up Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: click on kmail to go through my mail then click on check mail Actual Results: button fails to respond .. no progress bar shows up .. bug report pop up every time Expected Results: to check mail on load with the kde progress bar and mail loading up showing the progress tree of all recently delivered mail OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-ARCH Compiler: gcc
Please provide a backtrace for this crash.
using gdb there no errors on start up but as soon as i change the config ie accounts i get the following http://pastebin.com/vPALapTW ( list is long ) summary the kmail library doesnt offer init _kcm _kmail or qt_plugin_instance there was no stack to backtrace
If you want to run kmail in gdb, you have to use --nofork eg: gdb --args kmail --nofork
