Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux openSUSE 11.4 RC1 KDE - oxygen widget style I spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out how to set the icon for a new menu item, using KDE menu editor... argh!! :D I knew I had done it before, but I couldn't figure out what had changed. Then I happened to mouse over the magic location, and tada a button showed up. Otherwise its totally camouflage. screenshot: http://www.picfront.org/d/842Q Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: w/ oxygen style, open kde menu editor. create a new menu item. Actual Results: You can't tell that there is a button there for setting the icon of the menu item. Expected Results: The button should have an outline. Not just when you happen to mouse over it. This is a minor cosmetic bug.
I can confirm this behavior on Kubuntu 11.04. I spent 15 minutes looking in the UI trying to see where the change icon option was until I did a Google search, found this, and hovered over the invisible option. Although the use case is not necessarily main-stream, this is a *huge* usability issue for this work flow. $ uname -a Linux ubuntu 2.6.38-8-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 11 03:31:24 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ cat /etc/*-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=11.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=natty DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 11.04"
