Description Sergio 2011-02-10 19:30:10 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

Hi,

due to a problem with the default solid actions in kde 4.6.0 (see 265870), I have tried to update the actions.

If I fix them by editing the files in /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions, this works.

However if I try to fix them via systemsettings, my changes are ignored.

Furthermore, I have noticed that my changes get saved in ~/.local/share/applications. Shouldn't they go in ~/.kde/share/apps/solid/actions?

Reproducible: Always

Can you try to do those edits manually in ~/.kde/share/apps/solid/actions and see if it works?
Comment 2 Sergio 2011-07-29 09:15:05 UTC
Unfortunately, I will not be able to try until mid august, since I am temporarily on a gnome machine. As soon as possible, I will make the test, though.

Moving over to the other bug report. This needs shared work between the KCM and Plasma Applet to notify of changes + write them out in a commonly understood way.
