Description Manuel López-Ibáñez 2011-02-06 04:11:07 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

When file sharing is disable, the samba daemon still runs at boot, so the system is still visible in the network and potentially open to security risks. It would be better if the smbd and nmbd daemons would be stopped and removed from boot when file sharing is disabled (or at least offer an option like "Disable Samba completely").

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-28-generic
Compiler: cc
