Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2011-02-05 15:04:19 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

1) icon for attachment is not shown
2) saved attachments have size 0

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
create imap account - load attachments on demand

Actual Results:
sometimes the attachment is available sometimes not
no pattern discoverd yet
this is since KDE 3.5

workaround, open mail in separate window - instead of just using list view

Expected Results:
have attachments available when needed

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.7-0.7-desktop
Compiler: gcc

saving attachments with size 0 means data loss (if mail is deleted aftersaving) hence a major issue
and a working "load attachments on demand" is a must for traveling laptop users

Just an idea: check for size and (re)download attachment if size = 0

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
