Description Jakub Schmidtke 2011-02-04 03:56:52 UTC
Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

Every time after starting kmail2 (not opening it from the tray, starting the
application after it wasn't running) and opening my gmail folder (it doesn't happen with regular IMAP server) some number (usually between 2 and 10) of random, older messages appear on top of the list (my list shows newest messages first) with '(no subject)' in subject field, and 'unknown' in all the other fields - date, sender, most recent date.
When I click such message, it feels like kmail2 downloads it from the server (it takes a few seconds), and displays properly. The fields of that email remain unset on the message list.
After I open a different folder, and come back to the inbox, those messages are gone (have proper field values set and are in the right place of the list - way down the list).

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.37-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

Hm, actually the sender field is sometimes present in those "unknown" emails.

Hej Jakub,

is this still reproducible with a current version?

Ciao,
Tobias

I haven't seen it in a while. At the moment I am running kmail 2.0.95 (from KDE 4.6.80) and akonadi 1.5.80. So it looks like it has been fixed somewhere along the way...

Just close it. I don't even use kmail anymore.
