Version: 4.4.4 (using KDE 4.4.4) OS: Linux Konqueror has an option to automatically display index.html for local directories. Unfortunately, when Konqueror uses this option, index.html cannot be displayed in the Text Editor component. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tell Konqueror to use index.html. 2. Tell Konqueror to display a local directory containing index.html. 3. Tell Konqueror to switch to the Text Editor view. Actual Results: 2. Konqueror displays index.html instead of the directory contents. 3. The Text Editor is unable to open the directory. Expected Results: 3. The Text Editor should open the file index.html. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.7-0.7-desktop Compiler: gcc Workaround: switch to WebKit view first.
Cannot reproduce in KDE v4.6 and up. Feel free to reopen if that is not the case for you.
3. The Text Editor is unable to open the directory.
