Description Stephanvann 2011-02-01 09:22:30 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 1.2)
OS: Linux

I have installed a fresh copy of Kubuntu about a week ago. All updates have been downloaded and applied. I have alsi installed lates KDE.
The system randomly freezes every couple of minutes. I need to restart about 20 times a day. Not specific program - I can be working in emial, broswer etc. when the system freezes. I have set all display settings to "default". Running only two "activities"

Reproducible: Didn't try

Are you using OpenGL compositing with intel video drivers?
Comment 2 Stephanvann 2011-02-01 15:48:53 UTC

Comment 3 Stephanvann 2011-02-01 20:10:50 UTC
I do use OopenGL yes.

After your question about the video drivers I went to "Additional drivers" and saw that the Nvidia drivers were not enabled. I enabled it and it downloaded the latest drivers.

So far so good, no freeze yet.

Thanks for the update, Stephan!

I am marking this as resolved, referring to your latest comment. If you get the freezes again, please reopen.
