Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux I have a panel at the top of my screen with the sub menus I most often need. (i.e. develoment, office etc.) Since the switch to 4.6 the panel won't autohide if I use any of these menus, it also won't allow other windows to cover (tried as workaround). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: First create panel, set autohide, add classic menu, add sub menu, click on either then click away. Actual Results: panel remains unhidden and always on top Expected Results: panel should hide I removed all the relevant config files and apps directories and re-tested with same result.
BTW KUBUNTU MAVERICK 64 bit. This gent had the same problem and started using the new menu. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=112447 Works great if you don't want to do the launcher sub menus
I'm experiencing the same bug.
same here, with classic menu bottom and a panel on top too archlinux kde 4.6.0
Same here, Gentoo & kde 4.6.0. Panel will not auto-hide if I use the classic menu.
Seems https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264679 is the same bug.
Confirm the bug. Now taskbar doesn't hide automatically after I use menu. :(

I don't see it with 4.6.1
still same problem in 4.6.1 for me.
Fixed for me in 4.6.1
The classic menu is fixed, but there are other cases where it keeps visible. If you can find a way to reliably reproduce it, please add a comment to bug 258012.
