Version: 1.8.0 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux Switches to display or hide images contained in children albums/marks are so important and practical, that it should not be hidden in the menu only. Swicht buttons should be put directly to the Albums and Marks left sidebars we can access these options quickly. Also the image sorting an grouping options should be put on bottom panel. Reproducible: Didn't try
Michal, Please, can you give more explaination here ? Can you provide a mockup ? Gilles Caulier
Why not, it's here. The button right to the search field would switch display odfimages inside descendant albums/marks. Same button for both Album and Tag browser. http://michal.thoma.cz/ruzne/digikam-subfolders.png Regarding the grouping and sorting buttons, I'm not sure if it's should be here... Probably not, becauste these options are not dependant on the Aplbum/Tags view but should be possible to use that with search etc.
Michal, The mocup cannot be displayed. Url sound like invalid. Can you update please ? Gilles Caulier
New digiKam 4.11.0 is available : https://www.digikam.org/node/740 Can you reproduce the problem with this release ? Gilles Caulier
Yes, the buttons for displaying images in subfolders or in subtags still could be moved to folder and tag browser but this issue is not of great importance anyway. I think easy and straightforward access to subfolder/subtag viewing would be advantage while browsing. Now you even need to customize menu to get the butons for this and even there is no icon for them.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Yes, I think this issue still persist. I would be handy to have switch for displaying picutres in child folders/tag and have swicth for that right in the left Album/Tag pane.
