Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2011-01-30 17:55:47 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

In Kopete there is a global key shortcut that you can specify for kopete to toggle Away status. It is nice but it just makes you go away and doesn‘t let you specify a particular away message.
There should be a keystroke that makes you away and pops up a window that lets you enter an away message.
So you press Meta+G (for Gone :P) and enter the away message, hit return and you‘re away with that message.

Reproducible: Always

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
