Version: 1.8.0 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux Usage scenario: 1 - For example I have a album of 100 photographs, where 10 are rated 4* and the rest is not rated lower than that. Down at the filtering tab I select to show images with 4* or more and I find the image which is interesting for me. 2 - Now I want to see all other images which are around this selected 4* one. (Images taken in same sequence which got lower rating). So I completely remove any filtering by pressing red light on filtering tab. 3 - All images appears though the selected image slides somewhere down and I have to scroll down to that and virtually find it again. 4 - I would like that digikam keep focus on selected image so we can easily change filtering without losing track of images we're working on. Reproducible: Didn't try
There is a regression in 2.0 to this effect. Second, sometimes the selection is preserved, but the current item not scrolled to. Otherwise selection preservation is implemented in Qt by QItemSelectionModel.
