Description Siva 2011-01-29 12:10:37 UTC
Version: 4.3.2
OS: Linux

If we enable Kwin Blur and move a window, it's transparent part is still blurred.
But, if we enable woobly windows, when we move windows the transparent part becomes completely transparent (no blur) as long as you are holding it and moving it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
If we enable Kwin Blur and move a window, it's transparent part is still blurred.
But, if we enable woobly windows, when we move windows the transparent part becomes completely transparent (no blur) as long as you are holding it and moving it.

Actual Results:
The background was not blurred as it was when woobly windows disabled.

Expected Results:
The background of transparent part should be blurred.

blur the background area of transparent part of the window.

Intended behavior. Blur gets disabled when another effect is transforming the window.

There are quite some duplicates for this issue.
Comment 2 Siva 2011-01-29 12:26:14 UTC
I am sorry if this issue is a duplicate, but I could not quite get a solution for this problem.

Neither Compiz nor Windows Aero behave this way.(Win Aero--No Wooble windows anyway).

Compiz handles both blur and woobly windows simultaneusly and without any visual or performance pain, you may check it yourself.

Please check it and tell me why this is an intended behaviour and not a bug in Kwin.
