Description Anders Lund 2011-01-28 15:33:59 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

Since installing kde 4.6, my main plasma panel very often wrongly stays visible.
Often means that it will happen eventually during a session.

I use either "autohide" or "windows may cover" visibility setting for the panel.

When the panel locks up, it hides the bottom of my fullscreen window, and there are no nice way of getting it to behave - so far i found that restarting plasma is the only way.

After some usage, I figured out that the behavior often happens when using kickoff, so I removed that and the problem does not appear to happen, except the panel appears to freeze when starting or stopping activities.

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.36-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

I can confirm this behaviour on KDE SC 4.6. However, i haven't found any connection to using (or not) the kickoff menu, because the misbehaving panel does not contain any kind of menu/application launcher, especially kickoff.

OS: Kubuntu 10.10
KDE from backports ppa repository
