as i said, traceless , it just dies and i have no idea how to get gdb attached to drkonqi, any help appreciated
- What is your KDE SC version ? - Also, in which step are you opening Konqueror ? You can see the contents of a "possible duplicate" report inside DrKonqi itself (it's a DrKonqi dialog, which doesn't use any Konqueror component). To invoke an external webbrowser you have to click the "bug report's web page" link in the corner. Are you doing that ? I tried using that link to open Konqueror in the bugzilla page; adding some comment in the "Additional comments:" textbox and double clicking a word to select it; and both Konqueror and DrKonqi are still there. No crashes Here on KDE SC 4.6.0 on ArchLinux i386 Also, the title of this report is about "Konqueror crashing", but you later mention that you don't know how to attach a GDB to drkonqi; I don't get the sense of that cause Konqueror is launched as an external process from DrKonqi, so their processes are not related. hi, sorry for beeing a bit stupid, i attached to the launched konqueror process, the backtrace is attached, i just didn't happen when i pointed konqueror to the bug report page directly, but feel free to change it to a konqueror bug if that makes more sense. i use the "report problem" menu, then i choose the "start the assistant to report problems" button which launches a konqueror instance. there i click any of the duplicate reports listed in teh iframe, scroll down in the iframe , add text, select text and then it hangs and crashes after a few seconds, which might explain the immense backtrace thas generated (looped somehow) its on Platform Version 4.6.41 (4.7 >= 20110106) Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
