Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux Currently kdeinit spawns all processes under the same task group which is really bad as they help to indicate and group tasks which belong together. kdeinit should call a: setpgid(pid, pid); on newly spawned tasks as they do not belong to kdeinit (at least most of the time). Plasma for example starts processes through kdeinit causing all programs started through the gui to have the same task group, which shouldn't be. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: ps xaf -o pid,session,pgid,group,args Actual Results: All processes started from kdeinit have the same pgid Expected Results: Tasks that don't belong together, should have different groups.
