Description Martin Tlustos 2011-01-27 08:56:34 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS: Linux

when watching a youtube video (other flash video sites are just the same), the video is not displayed first - only sound is heard. After hitting F5 everything is fine. Same behaviour with konqueror and rekonq. Konqueror with khtml has no problems.

Reproducible: Always

can confirm this using KDE SC 4.6
Comment 2 Dawit Alemayehu 2011-01-28 16:28:06 UTC
konqueror + khtml uses its own nspluginviewer where as the kdewebkit based browsers rely on the verison that comes with QtWebKit. Can you please provide information as to which version of Qt you have installed on your system ? Also what happens if you clear your local cache and try again from konqueror's settings dialog ?

This could also be related to a similar issue reported upstream. See https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50533

Comment 5 Martin Tlustos 2011-02-01 09:46:52 UTC
My qtwebkit version seems to be 2.0, so it could be solved with the next update, according to the comments at the qtwebkit bugs site.
Comment 6 Dawit Alemayehu 2011-02-28 07:48:04 UTC
This is an upstream issue which seems to be solved, but will not be available until the next feature release of Qt is available. Closing as upstream for now. Once Qt 4.8 comes out and this issue persists, feel free to reopen this ticket.
