Description kudling 2001-05-30 13:34:52 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kwin4
Version: KDE 2.2.0 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 2.95
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

ok one can argue if a standard-kde-application should promote the author in such a dominating way. At least kwin4 doesn't provide a standard about-menu entry and this annoying "do you really want to quit" message-box is no good style (which should be fullfilled by all apps which come with kde).

--------------
I fully agree on the "do you really want to quit" message-box. Just
never had time to disable it. Your bug report was a good opportunity.
Furhtermore the introduction screen is i18n'ed and less personalized
now (KDE instead of the author's name).
About the about dialog I'am of different opinion. It should tell something
about the author and the program. That's the whole idea about it (especially
for a game). That is a thing which could/should be discussed on
kde-style or kde-games or so.
