Description Sabine Faure 2011-01-22 00:33:25 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

At midnight every day the Imap resource disconnects itself as it can be seen on Akonadi console.

However, it does not reconnect automatically so no mails can be received after that.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Prerequisite: testing this bug about 15 minutes before midnight

- Connect Akonadi console to the N900
- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Check that in Akonadi console both Local Folders and the Imap resource have a green dot icon and 'Ready' written next to them.
- Open 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Home'
- Click on 'Synchronize All Accounts'
- Check in Akonadi console that synchronizing Local Folders and Imap resource work fine
- Wait for midnight
- The Imap resource is automatically disconnected. In Akonadi console you can see a plug icon and the following message 'Could not connect to the IMAP-server NameOfTheServer. Failed to connect to server'.
- Open 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Home'
- Click on 'Synchronize All Accounts'

Actual Results:
Local Folders syncs fine whereas the Imap resource does not sync anymore.

Nothing happens even after 30 min and several manual synchronizations.

Expected Results:
The Imap resource should reconnect automatically after the set 'Interval mail checking' (ie 5 minutes for me)

Note: This prevents the user to receive any new emails and at the moment the only way to make the Imap resource reconnect and sync properly is by using akonadi console (Toggle Online/Offline option).

So it would be much better if the reconnexion was automatically done.
