Version: 2.4.0 OS: Linux There is a good plasmoid called "Now Playing" (shipped by default with KDE). In generally it works well with Amarok, but starting from version 2.4.0 it has a bug. When I press the "Pause" button, the button greys up, become disabled, change image to "Play", Amarok is pausing... And the "Play" button remains disabled. No way to click it to restart the playing. When restarting playing from the context menu - the "Play" button becomes enabled, but clicking on it disables it again, changes to "Pause" image and does nothing to amarok. I am posting that in Amarok product, because some other widget - Now Playing Controls from kdelook acts similirally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Amarok 2.4.0 2. Install the Now Playing widget (i have installed it on the panel itself, but on the desktop the behaviour is similar) 3. Start ANY song in Amarok 4. Press the "Pause" button 5. Notice the result 6. Press the "Play" button 7. Notice the result 8. Resume the song from the Amarok context menu (or from the GUI itself) 9. Notice the result on the plasmoid 10. Click again on the Play button 11. Notice the result Actual Results: Described above Expected Results: Should work as it worked with 2.3.x
Reasigning to plasma, as we do not maintain this widget.
try with Plasma Workspace 4.6; there were fixes made to this widget for this kind of problem.
The bug persists with the packages provided by Arch. It is somewhat worse - sometimes the widget even doesn't see that Amarok is running and displaying that nothing is playing (while Amarok plays a song)
Same problem here. KDE 4.5.1, Kubuntu 10.10, Amarok 2.4.0
Same here, kubuntu 11.04. Sadly the now playing plasmoid isn't usable right now :(
Seems to be fixed with kde 4.7.2 (Arch Linux packages)
