-> Configure your device (by account wizard for example) -> Delete your identity -> go to accounts -> delete your account -> add account by adding it with the wizard Several issues: - If you have not waited long enough you run into https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=256969 and you have a broken imap configuration. When you then try to send a mail it stays on the greyed out sending mode and hangs. - When the imap ressource is successfully created it was reported that the sent mails were rejected by the server although valid data was configured: Error was 5.7.1 sender address invalid ( This is only third hand info)
Bug seems only to happen if you delete the identity. After the new account is setup the old identity can be deleted.
If you delete first the account and then delete the identity it works.
Hej Andre, can you check which transport has been the default when you sent the mail that caused the error? Ciao, Tobias
This has been fixed on Tuesday.
Ludwig please verify
Kontact Touch Windows CE 2011-02-22 9:20 If the conf of an account failed and I wait for some minutes, a broken IMAP-Account appears in the account list. But not in the folder list. In the description test, it is not possible to configure the second account. (The default identity is a dummy identity) Sending a mail with a dummy identity hangs Kontact. Reopened
Hi Ludwig, can you please describe in more detail what you did to make the Account setup fail? If i understood this correctly then you did not delete the configuration from the menu but a failed account setup left you with a broken account. If this is the case please set this bug to verified and open a new bug.
I followed the description as far as possible. But I needed to create a dummy identity to delete the account id. And adding the second account failed. The wizard said so. But a nonfunctional IMAP resource was added.
