Description Jon Nelson 2011-01-18 21:44:57 UTC
Version:           0.11.2 (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS:                Linux

I've noticed that okular is especially crashy with certain documents.
The manual for the Kodak Z1012IS:

http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18921/

was especially crashy (download the 'Extended' User's Guide).

I also converted the document to postscript and the PS version was ALSO crashy, especially page-to-page.

From the konsole it was launched in:

KCrash: Application 'okular' crashing...
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit
sock_file=/home/jnelson/.kde4/socket-worklaptop.site/kdeinit4__0
QSocketNotifier: Invalid socket 8 and type 'Read', disabling...
QSocketNotifier: Invalid socket 11 and type 'Read', disabling...
okular: Fatal IO error: client killed

Reproducible: Didn't try

NOTE: crashes frequently, so the "Didn't try" comment isn't quite accurate.

I'm on openSUSE 11.4 and with 4.6.whatever-ships and 4.7.0 final Okular is my *go-to* document viewer. It is not only fast, it's awesome, and it hasn't crashed in a long time.

This bug can be CLOSED.
