Version: 2.4.0 (using KDE 4.5.5) OS: Linux By classifying the collection of tracks, these are mixed when they do not have an album. The previous version of amarok, it correctly classified all tracks, artists and albums. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: to update the collection of tracks OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.36.2-desktop586-2mnb Compiler: gcc
Can you give some more details. You have tracks without an album and after the import they are not in an album? Sound's about right. Or do you mean that tracks without an album are displayed under "various artists" if you sort by artist/album? It also helps if you attach the output of the amarokcollectionscanner of the relevant directories.
ok. I'll try to explain better. my english is not very good The audio tracks have the "artist name" - "name of the album" - "track number" - "track name". And all are classified correctly. But when they just have a "artist name" - "track name", instead of being stored in its respective artist, album name "unknown", these are classified under "various artists". The previous version of amarok, did not happen, because the tracks with no album, were classified in their respective artist under "unknown album" I will stay pending to send you the screenshot. right now I am not in my pc with linux. 2011/1/18 Ralf Engels <ralf.engels@nokia.com> > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263504 > > > Ralf Engels <ralf.engels@nokia.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDSINFO > Resolution| |WAITINGFORINFO > > > > > --- Comment #1 from Ralf Engels <ralf engels nokia com> 2011-01-18 > 13:47:51 --- > Can you give some more details. > > You have tracks without an album and after the import they are not in an > album? > Sound's about right. > > Or do you mean that tracks without an album are displayed under "various > artists" if you sort by artist/album? > > It also helps if you attach the output of the amarokcollectionscanner of > the > relevant directories. > > -- > Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You are on the CC list for the bug. > You reported the bug. >
Understood. We already have a bug entry for this problem. Tracks with no album are currently shown under the "unknown album" entry which is always a compilation, so it's also under "various artists". Actually I think the behavior is correct in the case where you sort by "album artist" but not in the case of "artist". *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 259665 ***
ok, I understand. I hope that soon corrected this problem that did not have the previous version. I see 1500 tracks in "various artists" - "unknown album" 2011/1/18 Ralf Engels <ralf.engels@nokia.com> > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263504 > > > Ralf Engels <ralf.engels@nokia.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Status|NEEDSINFO |RESOLVED > Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |DUPLICATE > > > > > --- Comment #3 from Ralf Engels <ralf engels nokia com> 2011-01-18 > 15:53:44 --- > Understood. > We already have a bug entry for this problem. > > Tracks with no album are currently shown under the "unknown album" entry > which > is always a compilation, so it's also under "various artists". > > Actually I think the behavior is correct in the case where you sort by > "album > artist" but not in the case of "artist". > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 259665 *** > > -- > Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You are on the CC list for the bug. > You reported the bug. >
