Runing digikam in ubuntu (gnome) environment. 
Selecting "save" or "save as" from file menu, toolbar or short cut crashes digikam. It did work until a few days ago.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

It's a KFileDialog (kdelibs) crash, not digiKam. update KDE4 to 4.5.x , it's fixed...

Thank you! I found that out too later in the night - all file save, import and export actions caused a crash. I also found a kdelibcore5 oder sth like that installed as dependency of another programm (I think, it was related to a newer version of eqonomize), which was not from the distribution's packet management. After purging that, digikam, and kde-base and reinstalling everything went well.
