Version: 2.3.1 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux The slider/progress bar for a song is ineffective/nonfunctional when using pulse audio as the backend. Songs can only be ff to the end or rewound to the PREVIOUS song with the control buttons. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Select pulse audio sound backend. PLay music and attempt to use the progress bar to slide back or forward the music, or try to reset the music back or forward to any arbitrary point. Actual Results: Attempts to use the progress bar/slider to slide or click-set the song to any arbitrary point in the music fails. The slider is totally nonfunctional. If you select an alternate sound backend (not pulse audio) then all controls function as desired and designed. Expected Results: One should be able to arbitrarily move the progress slider to any point in a playing song and have the song continue from that point. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.33.7-desktop-2mnb Compiler: gcc
JFYI: Amarok uses Phonon, and there is no Pulseaudio backend. Could you please check in Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Playback -> Configure Phonon -> Backend tab which backend you really use?
Sorry for mistake concerning sound system. The system backend is phonon gstreamer. With phonon gstreamer selected as backend, cannot use slider at all to control playback of music.
Thank you for the feedback. This is already reported for the gstreamer backend. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 237298 ***
reassigning to the new bugzilla product for better bug tracing of the various backends. Sorry for the noise.
