It would be nice if the user could add a repo via kpackagekit. I'm not sure how to implement this but distros should be able to configure kpackagekit in a way that it adds a certain repo or at least starts some tool that does so.

That way users would get an easy way to add update repos from the systray.

Ideal would be that kpackagekit has an icon for "no update repo available" in order to signal the user that he has to add one.
