Commit r1208868 moved "Ethais" wallpaper to kdeartwork. Unfortunately, this wallpaper is still referenced in the "oxygen-air" theme KDM is currently using as default. If the user does not have kdeartwork installed, he will now get a black wallpaper at the login screen. This needs to be resolved before the final release of KDE 4.6, but I am a bit confused which login theme should be used. With commit r1209319 a "horos" theme was added to KDM, but a previously added "ethais" theme was never used; only the wallpaper was swapped. Additionally, Oswald (maintainer of KDM), indicated that changing the configuration file in the kdebase package does not update the user's configuration, so it might be better to keep Ethais installed together with kdebase until there is code to detect missing wallpapers.
Git commit 4654efa2396359cc52af97a4db04b8d8f3cdfe82 by Oswald Buddenhagen. Committed on 05/03/2011 at 18:05. Pushed by ossi into branch 'KDE/4.6'. revert wallpaper to "air" why is this called oxygen-air and the screenshot shows an "air" background? right: because the wallpaper is "ethais". and why is this in kdebase? right again: because the wallpaper is in kdeartwork. uhm, maybe not right, after all. whatever the artistic vision behind this is, the current state is technically bogus. consider moving this theme to kdeartwork as a whole and making adjustments there.
