Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.95) OS: Linux after upgrade from kde 4.4 to 4.6 rc2 the knetworkmanager starts and connects to the wireless network. however the default route seems to be not set. i can access the local network but not the internet. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: login to opensuse 11.3 with kde 4.6rc2 try to ping www.lemon42.com or any internet address Actual Results: internet is not accessable via wireless however it works with cable connection Expected Results: wireless connection should work hardware: panasonic toughbook cf30k gobi modem installed but not in use (works with 4.4)
i just upgraded to the actual packages and the bug is still present. kde is unusable with this bug.
It is NetworkManager that launches the DHCP client, not the NetworkManager clients (Plasma NM, nm-applet, cnetworkmanager). This is probably a problem in NM or in your DHCP client configuration.
with opensuse 11.4 it works. at least the wlan. the 3g connection is another topic. thx for replying anyway.
