I logged into kde, and the nepomukservicestub segmentation faulted.


- Unusual behavior I noticed:

As of late there has been a lot of hard drive work when I log into kde. It takes several seconds for the disk to stop working. It seems most of the work is done by nepomuk but I am not 100% sure.

Nepomuk is not available after the crash, even if

ps -ef | grep -i nepom

reports all nepomuk processes as running.

Just a note: I have had nepomuk service stub segfault every time I start KDE. I just added "Disable glx" to my xorg.conf file (because it was segfaulting) and now nepomuk is running. This is with the rpm fusion kmod-nvidia driver - which has been suspected in many of the google-chrome and nepomuk problems. Side note - Google chrome runs now also.

Marking this to FIXED.

I see no evidence of anything Nepomuk related in the backtrace, and the reporter is no longer experiencing the issue.
