Description herr-schneider.m 2011-01-03 18:25:05 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.90)
OS: Linux

E-mail sending failed: Error on transmission of the message. Server does not accept the sender address "Schn…herr-schneider.m@wir-aus-der.eu>.
Server-Response: <"Schneider, Marcus" >: "@" or "." expected after ""Schneider, Marcus""

Profile is set up correctly, smtp did work in KMail 1, Leaving name empty does not work either.

Looking at the mail headers it appears that the "From" field is set to 'Marcus Schneider <mailadress' instead of '"Marcus Schneider" <mailadress>'...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Use above version of KMail, set up standard SMTP server + Standard Identity. Try sending mail.

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-rc7-desktop
Compiler: gcc
