Description Michał 2011-01-02 18:05:03 UTC
Version: 2.9.7 (using KDE 4.5.4)
OS: Linux

After my last upgrade (don't know from which version, though) I observe strange behavior of arrow keys. When I press any keys (especially arrow keys in mc), vim or in a shell, Yakuake seems to react very slowly, so it appears that program reaction is on key release, not on key press.

I mistakenly deleted wrong files in mc because of this (quick navigation to the file, F8, enter - I seem to be too fast sometimes ;-)). Anyway, this is very frustrating when navigating in mc or between words in vim.

This problem is not reproduced in Konsole

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Run mc, press up and down arrow keys. Hold down the "down" arrow key and release it, then quickly press "up" key.

Actual Results:
Slow reaction to keys.

Expected Results:
Instant reaction, like in Konsole.

Reassigning to Konsole since the terminal is provided by the Konsole KPart component.
Comment 2 Michał 2011-02-05 12:07:53 UTC
As I said before, this does not happen in Konsole.
Comment 3 Michał 2011-02-06 00:25:59 UTC
I updated today whole system and with new KDE (4.6.00) and Yakuake (2.9.8) this problem does not reproduce anymore.
Comment 4 Michał 2011-05-02 17:35:08 UTC
After upgrade to 4.6.2 this reproduces again (in Yakuake), but not in Konsole.
Comment 5 Jekyll Wu 2011-08-05 21:21:39 UTC
Can't reproduce it with KDE-4.7.0 and yakuake-2.9.8.

Feel free to reopen if this still happens in recent version.
