Description malvin 2011-01-02 15:43:08 UTC
Version: latest svn snapshot (using KDE 4.5.90)
OS: Linux

No matter what version from 0.9.85-0ubuntu2 to current git i use, i get a QOauth error when adding twitter account and clicking on the

choqok TwitterEditAccountWidget::authorizeUser: ERROR: 1104 "Ein unbekannter Fehler ist aufgetreten."

This comes from line 136 in /microblogs/twitter/twittereditaccount.cpp i think.

Sorry if this is a bug in QOAuth?!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
start choqok

Actual Results:
debug in konsole:
choqok TwitterEditAccountWidget::authorizeUser: ERROR: 1104 "Ein unbekannter Fehler ist aufgetreten."

and a corresponding KMessageBox::detailedError.

account is not added.

Expected Results:
open browser

I have a similar OAuth error, when trying to authorize my Twitter account, no browser opens but instead I get:

"Authorization Error" ("Details" -> "Unauthorized error")

Choqok 1.0 Beta3 (0.9.90)
Qt: 4.7.1
KDE Development Platform: 4.5.95 (4.6 RC2)

Did you try it lately!?
I have no problem here :)
Comment 3 Raphaël Jadot 2011-07-13 20:58:36 UTC
Well, with Chokoq 1.1, while I want to authenticate to Twitter (or Identi.ca), I have got
choqok(11587) TwitterEditAccountWidget::authorizeUser: ERROR:  401   "Erreur d'authentification"
(in english: authentication error)
Do you think it is in relation with this bug, or should I add a new one?
Comment 4 Daniel McLellan 2012-06-13 17:20:10 UTC
I am having the same error, I cannot authenticate as the browser never opens.

System: Host: silmaril Kernel: 3.1.10-2m.mo8.x86_64 x86_64 (64 bit)
Desktop: KDE 4.8.4-1m.mo8.Phaethon Distro: Momonga Linux release trunk (Sinji)
Comment 5 Daniel McLellan 2012-06-13 17:21:39 UTC
Oh, and I am using HEAD
Comment 6 Alejandro Vera 2012-06-27 15:35:41 UTC
Same error, choqok 1.3 on debian wheeze/sid, KDE 4.8.4, libqoauth1 1.0.1 : "Could not authenticate with OAuth."

On Mageia 3 as well as Kubuntu 13.04 everything is working fine.
- Which browsers do you use?
- Is twitterapihelper package installed?

As I know twitterapihelper isn't a separate package, it always installed with Choqok itself ;)

On Mageia it's packaged separately that's why I asked.
