Description Dennis Mills 2011-01-01 06:32:00 UTC
Version: 2.0-beta2 (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux

Would like the ability to have preparation methods greater than 20 characters. It is not always possible to contain the preparation method within 20 characters without getting a stunted result.

Example: How would I enter "cut into short thin strips" in the preparation method?
The items need to be cut, need to be short, and need to be thin. All of that information is pertinent to the recipe and the logical place for it would be in the preparation method.

Reproducible: Didn't try

This a thing that I've been wanting to change for a long time. My intention was make the lenght of various fields configurable.

However, changing the length of fields would mean changing the database schema and bumping the db schema version number (which is stored in the database itself) which is a thing that I will not do for 2.0 series.

In short: don't expect get this fixed soon, sorry.

This project is unfortunately no longer maintained.

If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here:

https://invent.kde.org/unmaintained/krecipes

You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived.

Sorry for the inconveniences.
