Version:           2.4 (using KDE 4.5.90) 
OS:                Linux

Since KDE 4.3 I think the zoom steps are so big. You open a picture in its normal size, you click Magnify only once(!) and suddenly it fills the whole screen. One should be able to zoom more smoothly, especially in the first zoom steps. It should‘nt fill the whole screen at the first zoom step.
