Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.90) OS: Linux When you configure you Desktop to your liking... such as setting a specific size for Folderview widgets in whatever location on the Desktop and changing Desktop layout back and forth for eg: from folderview to search and launch, then back again... Your folderview widgets get enlarged and moved to a different location on the screen as well as any icons you had "not in folderview" get size reduced and moved also Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: add a couple folderview widgets to Desktop and add whatever you want in them, resize the folderview widget to a different size... add a couple icons from the menu "outside" of the folderview widget (on the desktop) and change desktop layout to search and launch, then back again to folderview Actual Results: desktop customisations get messed up Expected Results: all customisations should stay where intended here is a video demonstrating this bug http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEd42087C-U
oops. I chose "didn't try" to reproduce bug by accident. This bug can be produced everytime (In reply to comment #0) > Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.90) > OS: Linux > > When you configure you Desktop to your liking... such as setting a specific > size for Folderview widgets in whatever location on the Desktop and changing > Desktop layout back and forth for eg: from folderview to search and launch, > then back again... I am able to reproduce this behavior. However, I was informed that this is not a bug per se. The containments (the different "Layouts") determine how widgets are sized and placed. Ideally, the size and placement would be restored, but that would require backing up the configuration at each and every change in layout.
