Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.90) OS: Linux On startup Kmail does not remember how folder structure was displayed on shutdown. This means the folder structure has to be expanded again on every startup because I only see the accounts and have to expand them. Reproducible: Always OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-11-generic-pae Compiler: cc
While I have not watched the folder structure carefully to see if KMail forgets it after shutting down, I have a similar issue with the message list. I know my issue is specifically with the message list and not directory structure of the mail servers the reporter is talking about, but because it seems related I thought it best to mention it in this bug report too. If it's not related I'd be happy to file a different bug. My issue with the message list forgetting things is as follows. If I go the Inbox of one of my IMAP accounts and expand some threads of messages, and collapse the display of messages of for example 'Two weeks ago' and 'October', and then switch to for example the 'Drafts' directory of that IMAP account and then switch back to the Inbox again, the threads are collapsed again and 'Two weeks ago' and 'October' are expanded again. In short, KMail forgot what I changed in how the message list is displayed. Possibly this is a different issue, but I'd like to mention that KMail insists on expanding 'Two weeks ago' and 'October' for no good reason. 'October' doesn't have any unread messages. And 'November', 'September' and 'August' and other messages are always collapsed.
The first bug has been fixed (tested on KMail 2.1.1). I didn't try to reproduce the second one but, if it is still valid please open a new report. thanks :-)
