The proposed mockup. Different local collections

Version: 2.3.90 (2.4 beta 1) (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux

(First and not least: see provided image ;-)

In the collection browser, the Local Collection gives an unified view of all the music that lies in the folders specified in the amarok settings (collection). For most people it may be just one folder (f.ex /home/user/Music). For a lot it is not for a lot of reasons (thematically ordered collections, network mounts etc..)

So it would be a really enhancing feature to give an option in the "Sort Options" called sth like "Categorize in root folders". Which means that there are different local collections showed (one for each specific collection root folder ticked in the amarok collection settings).

I hope i explained myself! Vote for this bug if you agree. Otherwise keep up the good work!

gratefully,
Miguel

Reproducible: Always
