Looks to be a duplicate of other reports.  I removed components and now it crashes when I attempt to configure kontact, regardless if I'm in the summary section or viewing calendar, todo's, etc.  
During this report I went through all other configuration modes, for calendar, shortcuts, and toolbar.  All three let me save changes.  I tried 'configure kontact' and it crashed again.
I had originally removed email, contacts, and newsgroups during setup, not sure if there were others.  I currently have the calendar, to-do list, journal, and popup notes. It has allowed me to add several categories and subcategories in the to-do's and the reminders seem to be working.  Haven't run across much trouble yet, have been using it for a few days.  To-do's is the only feature I had used before the first crash, other than changing the default calendar view.
