Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.90) OS: Linux Since updating to 4.6RC1, the system tray fails to contain any plasmoids until any configuration value is changed (initially it loads with a default set of plasmoids). I tried with a clean config, even with a different user, same issue. plasma-desktop(6807)/libplasma Plasma::FrameSvg::resizeFrame: Invalid size QSizeF(0, 0) plasma-desktop(6807)/libplasma Plasma::AppletPrivate::mainConfigGroup: requesting config for "Benachrichtigungen" without a containment! this is printed in ~/.xsession.errors. Qt is 4.7.1, KDE is 4.6RC1, Gentoo x86_64 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1) Have a systray (either in the panel or on the desktop 2) Change any configuration (hide an entry, remove a plasmoid ...) Actual Results: 3) The systray is uanble to contain plasmoids such as the battery, the notifications(!) and the network management. If you try to add them, they disappear right away. Expected Results: 3) Systray still contains plasmoids and they can be added
confirmed here.
Sorry, I should not report bugs after midnight: "ince updating to 4.6RC1, the system tray fails to contain any plasmoids until any configuration value is changed" as soon as a configuration value has been changed, not until. A workaround is to add the specific plasmoids (notifications, battery, network, device notifier) directly to the panel, which unfortunately takes a lot of space away.
Confirmed here too. This does not happen when System Tray plasmoids are also added in the [Containment] config of the panel in plasma-desktop-appletsrc like 4.5 instead of the entries going to plasma-desktoprc like in 4.6RC1.
Confirmed here.. Hope the patch will release not to long

Seems to be fixed in RC2, I'll test a bit more and mark it as fixed if no issue shows up until the end of the week. Thanks so far. Kind regards, Christian
Fixed, thanks a lot
