Compiler: cc

Hello

I have tried but i cannot reproduce this bug. My OS is opensuse 11.3 and here is some information about my kde enviroment

kde-devel@linux-mzuw:~> kmail -v
Qt: 4.7.1
KDE Development Platform: 4.5.86 (4.6 >= 20101210)
KMail: 2.0.89
Comment 2 m.wege 2010-12-23 18:40:56 UTC
Did you try it on a mail from a mailinglist?
Comment 3 Antonis Tsiapaliokas 2010-12-23 19:29:21 UTC
No i didn't but i did now... And if you try to reply into an email which is not a mailing list then in the author name there will be nothing but if you try to reply to an email which is a mailing list, then there is no bug... (In the author field it is written the authors email). So i guess that this is not a bug, because in the second case the kmail works fine but in the first it doesn't it might not be able to understand in which email address should write... Anyway in my opinion this a logic mistake rather than a kmail's one..

ok, I tried again on different lists. e.g. with bugzilla mails it works without a problem. With mails from a mailman-based list, it does not work (it did with kmail1 btw). I can provide a sample mail, but only privately since the mailman-list is a closed one.

I have tried to reproduce the bug with the mails which i receive from the kde-games-devel and plasma-devel mailing list and in both of them there is no bug. If it is not too much trouble can you tell me a kde mailing list in which the bug appears?
Comment 6 m.wege 2010-12-24 09:35:48 UTC
The only KDE-list I have is KDE usability and there it works.
Comment 7 Antonis Tsiapaliokas 2010-12-24 12:54:27 UTC
ok. Then can you tell me a mailing list in which the bug appears?

Hej,

I guess the mail that does not work contains a commata or any other character in the display name of the sender that must be escaped?
We had a bug that leads to an empty To address in reply mails. This bug has been fixed in current trunk version. Can you retest please?
If the bug is still reproducible, can you attach the problematic mail as an mbox file, please?

Ciao,
Tobias

I have tested it with several mails of the list which was having the problem and recent Beta 3 (not trunk) and could not find it anymore. Seems to be fixed.
