Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.85) OS: Linux In KDE <4.6 beta1 press of "Alt+Ctrl+S" opened simple dialog where I was able to name tab. Starting from 4.6beta1 this dialog is not available anymore - instead there is a copy of dialog from profile preferences. This one requires manual choosing of which field to edit, has fields for remote and local systems etc. If I would like to change settings then I would go there. But I just want to rename tab from "- hrw" to "panda" to see that this is tab with picocom which is connected to PandaBoard's serial port. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run Konsole. 2. Press Alt-Ctrl-S Actual Results: Ugly dialog with lot of settings. Expected Results: Simple dialog with just tab name.
I don't understand the issue, you do not have to use the format specifiers, you can use a simple tab name. Others appreciate the flexibility this dialog offers.
First I have to remember is it local or remote session (or set title in both fields). Then I have to select field (by mouse or few tab presses) and edit it. Maybe at least change default widget to be "name of local tab" one?

I apologize for creating the duplicate, I tried a search but did not see this bug. I think what Marcin and I would like is the ability to quickly change the name. If I am renaming a tab, what difference does it make if it is local or remote? I want to rename either way to something else besides the default. I hope that makes sense.
New code for KDE 4.7 committed will automatically focus the correct text entry box depending on if the user has a local or remote connection. So in 4.7, you should type Ctrl+Alt+s and then 'panda<enter>' and that is all - no mouse movements. I'll close this - comment further if you still feel this is an issue.
Thank you Kurt. I hate to be a pain in the ass but can you please get it in 4.6.1 or is that closed?
4.6.1 was tagged over a week ago - it should make 4.6.2
