Version: 4.5.1 (using KDE 1.2) OS: Linux I have created loan and specified a value for interest rate (different than 0) The amount of the loan is not equal to 0 too. After the creation of the loan, I can see the scheduled transactions created for this loan. But in these transactions, the value for the interest category is equals to 0. Reproducible: Always
What is the actual balance of the liability (loan) account shown in the account overview? I bet it is 0. You need to add a transfer into an asset account from that liability. E.g. if you bought a house on a loan then create an asset account for the house and transfer the money from the loan account to the asset account.
Ok, thank you. I have retry to create a loan with a transfer into an asset account and now it is working. I think it will be good to improve the dialog box. Maybe the transfer to an asset account must be mandatory ? Because if the transfer is not created, it doesn't work!
I can confirm this, the suggested fix, and the confusion it causes with 4.5.2.
Made it a wishlist item to improve user notification to avoid confusion.
