Description Rob Jones 2001-05-23 13:15:34 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Linux-Mandrake 8.0 i586
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Linux-Mandrake 8.0 2.96-0.48mdk)
OS: Linux 2.4.3-20mdk i686
OS/Compiler notes:

When browsing an smb share
Connect using
smb://machine/share
and entering username password
rather than using default ones set in
kcontrol

then every time I open a file my username
password is requested.

It would be good if the first username/password
entered to access the share was remembered
or some smbmount or persistent smbclient
type thing would happen.

I think this should work since KDE 3.0 or 3.1.
Notify me if it still doesn't
