Description Peter 2010-12-18 13:39:20 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

Hi
Kmymoney2 ver 1.0.4 on linux mint 9 and Kmymoney2 ver 4.5.0 on linux Mint 10 both only have US date format with no option for UK/Australian format.

Have I missed something or is it possible to have UK/ Australian format please?

Thanks

Reproducible: Always

KMyMoney uses the KDE date settings. Please use Systemsettings to set the correct locale for KDE and KMyMoney will use that.
Comment 2 Peter 2010-12-19 05:03:49 UTC
Hello Alvaro

Thank you for your very quick response.

I have the System Settings set to Brisbane Australia and the correct
time date format appears everywhere except in KMyMoney regardless of version.

Regards

Peter Cave

I bet you don't use many KDE applications, do you?
KMyMoney uses the settings configured for KDE applications.
You can do that from an application called "Systemsettings". If you are using a Gnome desktop (eg. Ubuntu or similar), you will most likely have to install it first. Then, set your locale settings for KDE, restart KMyMoney, and that's it.

Hi Alvaro

Thank you - you are right I don't use many KDE applications, although
a couple, - I started using KDE originally but went to Gnome later
for some reason I do not now remember. KMyMoney is in the
repositories for Gnome so did not think anything more of it.

As mentioned - now using Mint 9 and 10, but not mentioned Gnome,
(apology), on several computers and love Linux eventhough still a lot to learn.

I will find the application Systemsettings and go from there

Thanks again - really appreciate the guidance

Comment 5 Peter 2010-12-19 08:33:49 UTC
Hi Alvaro

I have just downloaded and installed the Systemsettings application
and the language packs and everything is perfect.

This proves that I should have asked for help a long time ago. I
thought that it was such an insignificant issue that I did not want
to trouble anyone but it finally got to me the other night.

Do I now go back to the report page and mark it as solved or is that
already done?

Thanks and Regards
