- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I had inserted a DVD into an IDE ATA DVD+/-RW drive.  I did not want the device manager to show on the panle, so I right-clicked it, and removed it.  As I was removing the device manager applet things crashed.  I did change my wallpagers a few minutes before.
