Description Ludwig Reiter 2010-12-13 11:32:33 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Windows CE

version: WindowsCE kontact mobile 4.6. beta2 svn-1204839

fresh configured account, inbox mails are not displayed.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create new Kolab imap account.
2. wait for the account to sync.
=> Mails in the inbox of the account are not displayed, the inboxs stays empty.
3. Restart.

Actual Results:
The inbox stays empty.

Expected Results:
In the Kolab account 3 mails are in the inbox. This mails should be displayed at the kmail mobile.

This is a serious problem, because syncing mails is a fundamental feature.

Is the akonadi_imap_resource process still running? What does the global status indicator (top left in the app) show? What does the detailed resource status show (Home -> Actions -> Accounts)? Any change when toggling online/offline?
Comment 2 Ludwig Reiter 2010-12-15 15:32:13 UTC
the akonadi_imap_resource is running. Status in Account dialog : Ready.
Toggling Online/Offline doesn't have an effect.

I notice that the option "Enable subscription mode" is set in the account and that in the subscription dialog the INBOX is *not* set.
But setting and syncing doesn't have got an effect.

Note: a new created subfolder with mails is displayed in a right way.

Ludwig, can you test if the subscription is off on the inbox if you set up a new account on the server, then go to the web client, to check subscription? I wonder if the client somehow unsubscribes the inbox, or whether we get it in initially unsubscribed, somehow. In any case, re-focusing the bug description.

tested with: 2011-01-03 (get-fd19a2b)

testaccount in horde: inbox is displayed. (So, if horde supports serverside subscription, it is subscripted)
testaccount configured in windows CE mobile kontact: inbox doesn't have an check in the subscription dialog and no mails of the inbox are displayed.

new test account: inbox is displayed in horde.

A developer should reproduce the defect and analyse it.

After the initial sync the mails of the inbox are not displayed. Adding the inbox to the subscribed folders doesn't change this.

It is not possible to add a new folder to the inbox. The action is greyed out.

version 2011-01-12 git-b984b66 w. old akonadi agent server (2011-01-03)

The problem with the inbox is not reproducable anymore.
In this version, after a fresh config the inbox is synced.
Comment 7 Ludwig Reiter 2011-01-17 14:34:07 UTC
tested with 2011-01-16 git-4d1bc61

The inbox is synced in this version, if the account is fresh configured.

In two versions it worked.
Closed.
